Tiernan Morgan studied at The Courtauld Institute of Art in London where he graduated with a BA honors in History of Art. In his penultimate year, he was elected the Chairman of the ninth biannual East Wing exhibition, entitled Exhibitionism (2010-2011).

Originally founded as The Courtauld Loan Collection in 1991, the biannual gives students carte blanche to exhibit works throughout the entire Institute and is open to the general public.     Exhibitionism featured over 150 artists, with an emphasis on promoting emerging talent.

Artists included Grayson Perry, Kerry James Marshall, Tessa Farmer, Keith Tyson, Harland Miller, Uwe Wittwer, Polly Morgan and Alexis Harding.

Upon graduating, Tiernan worked for the Karsten Schubert gallery in London, assisting with such exhibitions as Fred Wilson: Works 1993-2011 (2011), For Charles Harrison: When attitudes became form (2011) and Bridget Riley: Paintings and studies 1979-1981 & 2011 (2011).

In June 2012, he was selected to take part in Young Curators, New Ideas IV, the last exhibition to be held at New York’s Meulensteen gallery.
